INVITATION

Dear Esteemed Colleagues and Valued Stakeholders Dedicated to the Field of Learning Disabilities,

We are pleased to invite you to the 3rd Congress on Learning Disabilities with International Participation (ÖGK 2025), which will be hosted by İstanbul Aydın University and jointly organized by the Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities Association and the Turkish Foundation for Children with Dyslexia (DİSLEV), to be held in İstanbul on October 10–12, 2025.

The first congress, organized by the Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities Association and DİSLEV—two pioneering NGOs in the field of specific learning disabilities/dyslexia in Türkiye—was hosted by İstanbul Ticaret University between November 22–24, 2019, under the title “1st Congress on Specific Learning Disabilities with International Participation.” Our second congress took place on May 18–19, 2024, hosted by Üsküdar University, under the title “2nd Congress on Learning Disabilities with International Participation.” We are now honored and excited to be organizing the third congress in this series. The scientific program of ÖGK 2025 will be held at the Congress Center of İstanbul Aydın University, Social Sciences Campus (Block T) located in Florya Campus.

As the Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities Association and DİSLEV, our primary goal in organizing this congress is to bring together academics, educators, researchers, practitioners, individuals experiencing learning difficulties firsthand, and their families, in order to create a guiding, science-oriented, and strong platform in Türkiye. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the field, we hope the congress will grow and flourish with contributions from diverse disciplines and participants who are passionate about the subject. We are especially excited to be hosting this year’s congress at İstanbul Aydın University.

The organizing committee has determined the main theme of ÖGK 2025 as “An Interdisciplinary Approach to Learning Disabilities.” Within this framework, leading experts from different disciplines related to specific learning disabilities will take part as keynote speakers and panelists.

In addition to academics and educators directly working in the field of learning disabilities, we also highly encourage participation from experts in other fields. We believe that such participation will foster interdisciplinary collaborations, open the way for joint research and projects, and provide a platform for cooperation between education, health, family, and social services.

Within the scope of ÖGK 2025, specialists from general and special education, teachers, child development experts, child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, colleagues working specifically in the field of learning disabilities, as well as colleagues from other related disciplines, will have the opportunity to share and discuss their scientific knowledge and experiences through oral and poster presentations.

ÖGK 2025, enriched by the participation of numerous national and international speakers contributing to the scientific development of the field of learning disabilities, will become even more fruitful with your valuable participation.

We warmly welcome your contributions and look forward to your participation.

With kind regards,
Organizing Committee of ÖGK 2025
